Second: Ahmed Adel Developer and Platforms lead at MS has announced the launch of ENWI. ENWI stands for Egyptian Next Web Initiative. This initiative is trying to do two things, raise awareness of the wonderful things in Egypt as well as drive Egypt to become a more enhanced and self-sustaining entity when it comes to the web.

We are doing something special for a few dedicated students that are interested in getting involved. We are planning to help a students to build and self-host their own web sites. Any interested students will be able to have a site up and running by the end of the month for free. Microsoft will reimburse you for the cost of the domain for the first year and hosting cost until May 31st. There will be a session by Kareem Salah Microsoft Cross-System Intelligence Lead on Thursday March 11th to show these students how to self-host and Ahmed Abd el Hamed MS Academic Relations Manager will be showing how to build Web Slices for your sites.

Third: There's a series of online webcasts presented by Microsoft if interested make sure to view them.Some webcasts consist of 30 minutes of technical training followed by 30 minutes of soft skills training.

the exact rules will be set later but the basic rules are:

· Site must be hosed on Windows Server 2008 R2

· Must Self-Host your web site

· Must be up by March 27th

· Site must be up at all times for random inspections/scoring

o This will require a dedicated machine running windows server


Note that they can enter this site in the Imagine Cup as well.
